Don Morrow is the founder of Acquisition Management, Inc. and serves as its President and CEO.  Don has over twenty years experience in purchasing and collecting both commercial and consumer mortgages and charged-off debt.

Prior to forming Acquisition Management, Inc., Don served in several capacities in the financial industry.  Obtaining his Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1970, Don was employed for several years by Haskins & Sells, one of the then “Big 8” accounting firms.  After leaving public accounting, Don served as Chief Financial Officer of a regional insurance broker.  Don’s next position was that of President of a subsidiary of a publicly traded hospital management company.  In this role, Don managed venture capital investments in various medical and information companies.

In the mid 1980’s, Don led an investment group that acquired a large forest products company that included both a significant amount of timberland and a timber management operation.  After installing new management, the company was restructured and most of the timberland was sold, resulting in significant profits to the investor group.

In the late 1980’s, Don led a group that acquired the bank debt of a struggling retail chain.  Using the leverage of the debt, Don’s group obtained control of the company.  After replacing management and completing a turn-around, this company was sold for a substantial profit.  This experience led Don to concentrate in the area of buying distressed assets, specifically distressed debt.  Don has been involved in acquiring over $3.5 billion of distressed debt.  Don was one of the original members of the Debt Buyers Association (DBA International) and has been very active in that organization.

Don has a degree in accounting from the University of Georgia and is involved in numerous civic, community and religious organizations.
